Suspension jargon

I understand shocks, struts, coils, control arm etc but what are coilovers and bushings? And why does everyone keep replacing them/talking about them?

coilover are a spring/strut combo designed to work with each other...usuallu dampening and ride height adjustable....bushings are pieces of rubber that go between metal parts to cushion and allow movement such as control arm bushings....where they attach the car and need to pivot u want a bushing there to cushion the movement and not have metal on metal rubbing
