Car not starting, need a little help.

Had the starter replaced about 2 years ago and I think I may have the same problem. But this time, instead of the car not turning over at all, it sounds like something just spinning. Dose this sound like the starter?

Take it to Autozone to test the alternator while you're diagnosing.

Someone else started a thread on this last week, but the description he gave is same.
When you start it, you don't start up and the sound it makes is like the erooo. (Was told its the flywheel being spun) In any case I hunted thru some old threads and it seems consistent to what I'm getting.
Its like turning the key to far and holding it when it starts, the spinning whirring sound.

What makes it go bad? My answer is some shoddy parts from my production batch of maxima. I've had a bunch of the major TSB issues come up, the mounts, coils, and now the starter, praying the MAF doesn't go too.
