I realize this picture sucks. I'm thinking beige, at least that's what color the leather is.......

 

Sage is clser to green, and beige is closer to white.

I have a sage interior and that's what it looks like.

 

From this photo I almost thought is was the beige (the flash from the camera). But the steering wheel color and shifter make me think it is the sage. Need some more photos.

 

well it's sage. I took a chance and ordered the POS cupholder in sage. Out of the box, it looked way too dark. When I got to the car it was right.

 

There are only 3 possible colors for the interior- tan, grey, black. You have tan. Whether you call beige or sage is irrelevant.

 

While I am not sure about the 96-99 I30s, the interior color choices for the 00-01 I30s are beige, black, and sage. As flewdawg mentions above, sage is a greenish/brownish color. Beige is much lighter and what you would expect "beige" to be. There is definitely a difference. I have a sage interior and I know this because I have the original window sticker and that's what it says on it. I have heard people call it gray.

Anyway, to answer the original question, I am pretty sure your interior is sage as well. I'd have to see more pictures to be sure, but your steering wheel is the same color as mine. Again, I could be wrong here because I am not sure if sage was offered in that generation of the I30.

 

For the A32:

Beige=Tan
Black=Black
Sage=Grey

Zog's interior is just like mine which is tan (what Infiniti calls beige). His interior is most definately not grey. His POS cupholder may have said sage on the box (having no relation to the names Infiniti gives its interiors), but since it matched his interior, it was made for the tan interior color scheme. So, the issue of if the interior itself matches the normal or standard definition of sage or beige is irrelevant. I've seen aftermarket parts manufacurers refer to the tan interior for the A32 as eggshell. If Zog was to order interior parts from Nissan calling his interior sage he would end up with grey parts that would not match.
