High pitched sound after brake replacement (HELP)
High pitched sound (squeal/whistle) after brake replacement (HELP)
Hey everyone,
so i replaced my front brakes (pads + rotors). I then followed the bed-in procedure outlined in the 4th gen howto. However, now I'm getting a high pitched sound coming from my left wheel (even when I'm not braking). The sound is constant and only stops when I'm completely stopped. It is present when I'm pressing on the brake, and as soon as I start moving from a stop it starts up again. What did I do wrong?
Thanks

did you put the brake lube stuff on the back of the pads? If you bought cheap brake parts you will get squeaks. My squeaking went away after driving it a bit. If it doesnt go away i'd suggest a new shim hardware kit.
