It looks interesting, but holy hell, don't forget it's just a Maxima. They're great cars and certainly go when you put your foot down, but in the end a Maxima with a widebody is just... well, a Maxima with a widebody. I dunno.

Still interested to see the final outcome though, and besides that you've done pretty well.

yeh, i guess you will need some kinda spacer for that. when you're done is it gonna be a show car or daily driver still?

i know it is a maxima, but it is my first car in my life, i had the car since brand, now, i just want to do something different, trying to push as far as i can within my buddget, the wide body idea came out from clk-gtr racing car, i know it sounds like a studpid idea, but i can't stop couz the car has been seriously cut and welded, so, i have to keep doing on it ..

wow...it takes b@lls to do that...forget the spacers, try to get a nice offset rim to make it flush to the wider wheel well and see how that goes. I mean, if you are going to spend that much effort into the body, might aswell put the $$$ for the rims. It'll be worth it(not $$$ wise but pride wise) to put the big rims on it, for looks and functionability(a must). Go to shows and stuff and that's it. Keep it on car stands for the winter and you're set. I'd love to help, but body work isn't my skill. good luck and hope to see it finished soon

if you come to miami......i can definitely get you da help. ive done a widebody on a bmw325i before and dat shyt came out sick,

as far as your rims....if you can get the rims wide enough to sit flush with ur fenders do that instead of using ur 2inch spacewrs. itll loooookkkk soooooo much better!!!

but i highly doubt ur gonna drive down here.

THAT THING IS UGLY.. I thought I'd seen some wide fenders on 350z's, G35's and BMW's, but wow you took it to a higher level, like an airplane.

as already stated check the regionals. What are you plans for wheels? Since you have a much wider fende you can go with 9 and 10" wide wheels, and the option of going much lower than a 35mm offset.

Make a thread when you complete the project. Many have various opinions and comments about it, but a master piece isnt a master piece until its completed, so I'm not making any comments on it till I see the finished product. A lot of car half way thru a body project look like crap, till its done, prepped, painted then you'll see if their vision was a good one.

Good luck.

y boy, you crazy.. if you get wheels that fill up the wheelwell, you know that there's gonna be hella tire rub in turns right? those things will swing so far back and forth in turns its not even funny... as of neg offset... you can just turn the wheels inside out!

Man, I totally applaud the effort. And what someone else said is true - every Max has just about the same standard mods - you are pioneering something and I hope it works out for you. It's crazy to judge it at this point - it's so far from being finished.
That said, if it turns out like cow dung - we don't know you lol. j/k Keep up the good work!
