I just ordered it last week. It was his last one, and it was well after the deal ended. He said it was shipped out Friday, so I should probably get it this week.

question

I'm pondering on the y-pipe. How easy is this to install and is it recommended to have it done at a shop?

im not sure.. but i think most of the people here installed it themselves... there is a sticky thread at the top of the 5th gen forum that has a bunch of installation instructions and i think there is one there for the installation of a Y-Pipe so u could check that out to see what is in store for u...

I am planning on doing the install myself with a friend of mine. I have been getting familiar with the underside of the car in the meantime. It does not look very hard. The toughest part is probably getting the nuts off to remove the stock pipe. After that, it is a straight bolt on. Just make sure you have a 14 mm deep socket and universal pivot joint to get to the bolts.

Nah, never straight bolt on..Cattman's pipes got some serious fitment problems, good luck on your install trying to bang that pipe to line up with the exhaust manifolds!

Oh, did i also mention that its got bees in the can and hissing sound at high RPM!!! Piece of Sh*t!!

I'm still waiting from the original group deal!!! It's been about 20 days since I ordered.. I spoke with Lori from Cattman and she said they would ship on Friday!!!

Hey UMD_MaxSE... I don't think you bought his last one b/c Cattman told me that they got their new orders in on Thursday & it was being shipped Friday!!!
I don't know who screwed up here? Cattman or Greg?
I just hope I don't have to wait this long for my tokico group deal!!!

I got it done at RJ's custom piping in College Point... They use mandrel bent piping. It ran me $406 with a Hayame universal muffler which I bought at Eastern..
I feel a big difference on the high end only.. Low end stayed pretty much the same!!!! I kinda regret putting the resonator b/c it's pretty quiet compared to those Hondas!!!

hmmm...oh well, whatever then. That sucks that you still don't have yours. But if it was shipped Friday, then we should get them maybe this week. They probably ground shipped them so that they will probably take 5 days max to get to you.

MaxTuner: Sorry to hear about the trouble with your pipe. Yours is one of the few complaints I have heard about it. Most people say that there are no such problems with the cattman pipe.
