Quick! How do you remove the 2k plenum!?

I'm having a hell of a time trying to remove it because I'm trying to get to that last goddam VIAS screw that is on the bottom of the box.

I took out the 8 screws/bolts that are in front of it but it still sticks on there like something is holding it in!

I tried prying it out to no avail!

How do you do it?

download FSM...or nissan fast system

fast system can be found here (it's what they use in the dealerships for parts/diagrams):
www.phatg20.net

and the FSM can be downloaded there as well in pdf format...there, they have diagrams and cut-away's which allow to see every bolt/nut or screw holding things in and you can match them up to what you have taken out and what may be hiding in a dark corner somewhere...

thanks for the tip bro, but I had the FSM for a long time already.

The FSM only gives me those 8 nuts and bolts. I found 2 more near the TB, i don't know what's left. I can't see anything! OMG, this is annoying.

for my manifold, theres two bolts on the back near the firewall...you can't even see it...but when u stick yer hand back there, u can feel it...those two bolts have to be removed, or else the manifold will not budge

Don't forget the EGR tube thats bolted to it also. It would suck to mangle it up and have to replace it.

ok first off, i finished my VIAS fix.

secondly - don't try taking off your plenum if you have large hands, because you won't be able to get the 4 screws that hold the rear of the IM on.

third - HOLY CRAP! removing the power valve makes a huge difference in power! the car now pins me back from 1st and 2nd gears at WOT. 20 more whp, no joke, according to butt dyno (more power feeling than when I did y-pipe and full exhaust). I really don't notice any low end loss at this point because I havn't done any "normal" driving yet.

...I havn't done me timing advance yet, so we'll see what results that will bring

14.8 at the track?

well, going back up to the track on the 28th.

ES motor mounts finally pressed in by that time, along with a 17 degree advance.

I want to make 14.5. with the help of cold air at nighttime.
