Aw sorry dude. Maybe one day? Even for a kid like me with no bills it still took forever to save up and get all of it. Soooooooo many hours at my crappy job making crap money. if it makes ya feel better you can come up to NJ and you can take her out for a spin when everything is on, ok?

Wow, I wonder when the last time someone bought a GReddy for a 3rd gen new? The people you ordered it from probably had to dust off the box.

Why whats wrong with teh GReddy? Actually the place i got it from claimed it was on "backorder" and took forever in getting it to me....probably meaning they hadn't gotten a shipment from GReddy in a while....doubt it was a crazy increase in 3rd gen demand....

IMO the greddy is a POS. My resonator and muffler both rusted and fell of in only 4 yrs.

No, he is right. My resonator tore itself apart, clogging up the inside. I had to have it cut out and replaced. I bought mine used, but it was fairly new. I highly doubt I would pay full price for one.

My muffler still looks great and it sounds fantastic. I am very pleased with that.

Actually, my comment was because a new GReddy exhaust is expensive. It is worth about 1/4 of what you can buy a nice 3rd gen car for. You can get an entire warpspeed set up including y-pipe for less and most people go that route.

I think it is a government thing on most all aftermarket automotive stuff...My walllyworld foglights had the same disclaimer on the box they came in...

Was it the SP2 that you guys had? As far as the WSP exhaust goes; i read of some people saying they weren't all that satisfied with the quality and complained of the Magnaflow muffler rusting away. And as far as price goes, yeah it is really expensive. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/GREDD...spagenameZWD1V
But take that price, subtract the $250 i had in my paypal account. and then it becomes a little more tempting....

Mine didn't rust, the crap inside the resonator came apart and clogged it up, causing it to burst a small hole in it (resonator) so the exhaust had somewhere else to get out. I paid $50 to put in a new resonator, cut and weld style. Everything else is cool, but it seems like a lot of people have had problems with GReddys. For the amount they cost, they should last forever

It is good looking and sounds fantastic, so enjoy it and hopefully, you won't have any problems like most of us have had that put a GReddy on.

You will be lucky to find ANY kind of paint that will withstand the exhaust temperatures...It will burn off...

Update

Hey guys. I got the UDP on today. And yeah you can really feel a difference. For those who were wondering if it is bad for the motor. i can tell you that it feels smoother than before. no worries about it being unbalanced. but i guess when you have a perfectly engineered motor, it doesn't matter So go out there a get one for yourselves!

Hey Jim, was your Greddy an SP or SP2? The SP is only a stainless muffler, the rest of the system is "stainful" aluminized steel. Plus you DO live in NY.

I really like my SP2, kinda sounds a little like a stock 3 series or M3.

Plus some people my share my preference for a quieter exhaust, and the clips of the WSP system seemed just a bit too loud for me. I already went thru that "loud exhaust phase". Just my opinion though, not tying to start anything.

Anyhoo, that UDP does look nice, I was thinking about getting one...but I just put new belts on about 6k miles ago when I put the motor back in. (rebuild)

That's great! With the full exhaust you should be feeling pretty quick...Just take it for the 3rd gear pull to 100, and you will be in maxima ecstasy. Vans, as far as the alternator, I had a 450 watt stereo on my car with the exact same pulley and noticed no loss . The A/C wasn't quite as cold, but A/C is overrated anyway.

What Garbury said. It was his pulley after all.
