Manual tranny swap

Need some help guys. I just picked up a 4th gen 5 speed tranny, and i have a 2001. From reading all the stickies im sure it will bolt up, but im not sure which shift linkage i will need. Do i use the 4th gen one or get a 5th gen one? or are they both the same size. Also will the tranny mount be in the right place?

Use the 5th gen. I have a 2000 trans in my 4th gen using the 4th gen linkage and I'm almost certain it's the reason why my car pops out of 4th gear.
