New Rotors/Calipers/Pads

Hello,

So went to the shop and found out my OEM rotors are warped. I say its about time i get a decent set along with calipers and pads.

What is a good setup that is not killer on price. I would like cross-drilled, slotted, or possibly both. If they are zinc coated, would that help with rusting?

If someone can give me a decent setup of nice rotors, calipers (is this even needed) and pads, I would greatly appreciate it.

Does it also pay to get steel-braided lines or is there no benefit to this?

Any help on a good setup and rough cost of each would be extremely helpful

Thanks,
Gmax

i dealt with Automax95 in the group buy forum. he has all the pieces you're looking for. i went for zinc coated Brembo blanks (not slotted/drilled), and am very happy. i also use nissan oem pads - for everyday driving they cant be beat. leave performance pads for the people who do alot of autocrossing, cause most of them squeal on the street because they're never warm enough. you can also go with a BBK kit (z32 calipers and cobra rotors), so read up on it.

id go with brembo blanks (or slotted...for the look) with Hawk HPS pads. stock calipres are fine unless urs gone bad id leave them and save the money. ss lines are nice but can be dangerous because there is no way to inspect them for wear, if urs are ok id leave them as well.

total cost...under $300

I would just go with a set of OEM rebuild calipers which you can get at your local parts store. The good thing is that there is a Defect warranty, they are affordable, and there is a core charge.
For rotors I would go slotted, drilled have a potential to crack. I bought Powerslot Cryo's. I know pricey just an suggestion, but shop around. Like dmBK said if your not racing, a set of ceramic pads or OEM will do everything you want them to.

If you don't need slotted or x-drilled don't get them because they cannot be resurfaced (learned that the hard way).

I just got rotors and pads from importrp in the group deal section. Good price, fast shipping.

Brembo blanks are the way to go.
