Why can't I get the sent messages to save in the sent folder?

How can see the items I sent via PM?
Just curious: is there a way I can see the items I sent via PM? They seem to disappear after I send them, and it makes things easier since I'm selling a bunch of stuff.

You have to specify on every message if you want to save a copy of the sent message.
Below the message post box you will find:
Miscellaneous Options
Save a copy of this message in your Sent Items folder.
Request Read Receipt?
Show your signature
Automatically parse links in text
Disable smilies in text
