What are the components of a maximas suspension...

I am returning my 98 Maxima SE to stock ride... I am keeping my Tokico HP shocks and struts and replacing my Eibach springs with stock ones. In this process should I have my mechanic change the ball joints as it is probably overlapping labor. If so are there any other suspension parts that I should replace while I am at it. I don't want to have to replace things again. I currently have 104,000 miles but only 10K on the shocks/struts.

Ball Joints are a bish. I would just buy some ebay Control Arms. That will replace pretty much everything you need. Also get some stablizer bar bushings and strut bearings.

Any reason why you're changng out the Eibach? I have a used Eibach & Illumina combo waiting to be installed & hoping it's not too stiff for my daily driver.

Back on topic, I agree on changing out the LCA, I plan on doing that as part of my install.

Check the C/A's from ebay I think some of them come "loaded." That means they include the links.

I am taking out the eibach springs becuase the ride is horrible. It is so harsh that I feel like the car is slowly going to fall apart when I hit bumps. And no one will ride in the back seat. Prior to this mod the car had been babied and meticulously maintained and had no problems. I would not recommend anyone to get the Tokico HP/Eibach combo, which stillen sold me on. It sucks!

My mechanic told me to just replace the bump stops when the stock springs go back on and that he sees no need to replace the other components. However, on this forum I am told to change the LCA's and get a new sway bar end link kit.

I am sure none of the parts are needed but it will save time and labor in the future.

Not sure if this is a question or statement...I guess you should be thankful that your mechanic is trying to save you money. Lots of folks complain of being advised to change parts prematurely. On the other hand, you brought up the balljoint issue & people chimed in with suggestions. In this case, you know more than us since we have no firsthand knowledge of the condition of your car.
To summarize...if your balljoints are bad, then it's easier to change out the control arms which has the added benefit of new bushings.

Tom, I changed my swaybar end links at 105k, the link is probably rusted & the bushings are dry rotted! So go ahead and have them replaced, so you won't have to later on.
