What brake upgrades can be done??

Are there any other Nissans that have bigger rotors/calipers than can retrofit over to a Maxima?

Maybe 350Z/G35 brembo's or something else?

An aftermarket kit might be too pricey, just looking for something that can be taken off another car

Not to be rude, but this has been discussed quite a bit recently (I think that there is even a thread about swapping 350Z/G35 brakes to the Max on the first page or two). Others have also upgraded to some Wilwoods (which are apparently VERY nice), while some have gone with some older Z calipers. Lots of good info here on the first few pages.

300zx brakes work great with an adaptor plate from Matt Blehm:

Also, the Brembos from a 350z/g35 fit with some modification.

Kam, what was the weight saving from the "stock" vs Wilwood Kit?? If any?
how did your Abs react to the brakes? No all you need in a nice Greddy and Y-pipe, and maybe a Stillen Front lip!

I went with the more budget route, the group deal here on the org, $440 to your door! RTP rotors, pads and steel brake lines. Just look around a bit before posting a new thread (that way you don't get flamed for it)
Here's the link in the GD forum:

And here's a pic of mine:

Regarding weight savings: I got 300zx aliminum calipers and weight savings is about 10 lbs per caliper. If I got 2 piece rotors, thats another 5 lbs per rotor.

K, so stock stuff, was 90lbs all together, pads, calipers, rotors........

New stuff... 35lbs all together including packaging.

Calipers are only 4lbs per side, aluminium bracket, aluminium hat, solid vented rotor works out to 17 lbs per side.

As for the exhaust.... I have something totaly else in mind, something with a little bit of shhhhhhhhkuhhh...... Tek and Deus u know what I be talkin about.

ABS works fine, no problems, but dont put agressive pads in the back as they will grip a lot more then stock one and that might off set your brake bias.
