These are the same pics, just higher res (in case you wanted to take a closer look).

They really should secure the site a little better.

Mixed opinions about the 2002

honestly....
i like the headlights(which by the way is a knock off of the new BMW 5 Series lights...but i like'em..) and the new engine and the 6 speed tranny....

but what the hell happened to the rest of the front end?
what is that ugly bumper and the lower grill doing there? this is a 2002 model Nissan...
and the grill? oh my god....

thanks for the link!

Hey, great find. I am so glad I found these pics...makes me feel much better about my 01 max! And I thought the Altima pics were good, too! didn't check out frontier, sentra, etc.

02 is not a bad evolution, but not enough to make me want to trade up, yet.

srm

true....when the 5th gens first came out, i didn't see that many people rushing to their 'friendly' local Nissan dealership to trade in their 4th gens.....

Looks like Nissan's showing the control panel with and without NAV.

i personally thing the way they chiseled out the front end doesnt match the rest of the body.

about the radio controls- nissan has pics of the 6 cd in-dash changer and pics of the bose w/ navigation. those are the two diffferent styles of radio controls.

You have to remember that the Maxima is still in its 5th generation form. It would be stupid if they completely redesigned it in the 2nd year of its form. The Altima started out fresh as a new generation. I would expect a big change for the Maxima when the 6th generation comes out.

Colors

I'm not very happy to see that Majestic Blue Pearl will become a regular color choice next year. Oh well at least the anniversary package is not becoming standard. Ouch that spoiler looks tacky.....less area for the paint to come off though !!!

Nice Catch! I'm happy with mine but still impressed with the changes put in the 2k2 model. The tires even seem fatter.

why is nissan going w/ that Is300 look kind of?

I think the black tail light part on the SE Maxima's look better than that stainless steel looking stuff, especially on white Maximas.

I don't like how the front bumper is flat

I like the NAV system!

I love my AE, and I think I prefer the styling of mine a little over the 2002, although the nav system sure is a nice feature. Dual exaust is nice to.

I went to http://www.nissannews.com/nissan/product/vehicles/ and compared the others a bit also. Oh yea... the 6spm is really nice!
