I'm currently looking for a 95 Max. I want a 5 speed, but I'm having a hard time finding one with the options I want ( I'm too picky I guess). I may have to settle for an automatic. Anyone have this same problem, gave up their stick and now regret it?

I think my mom regrets it. . . She had my 95 5-spd and sold it to me to get a 2K auto. . . I know she likes her car, but if I give her the oppertunity she jumps to drive mine.

5 spd Maxima

I would look at autotrader.com Last year I bought a very nice truck several states away. Once you have your search narrowed down to a couple of vehicles, call the service manager at a nearby Nissan dealership, have them do a damn good going over, if the seller won't help you out, steer clear. It cost me $60. I liked what the owner and mechanic said. Bought it once I gave her a going over.I would look at states that don't get snow or too near the ocean. Hope this helps your search a little. I would not settle for a automatic, more avaible power with a stick and YOU decide when to shift. Good luck in your search

It took me over 2 years to find my 5-speed. (other things in that time as well) And totally worth it. No way would I have settled for an auto.

I miss it

I got an Auto Maxima after driving a manual around for two years, and I definitely miss driving the stick shift. Good luck finding one, and you should definitely hold out for what you want though.

I got an auto Max after driving sticks (Toyotas and Hondas) for 20 years and I wish I had held out longer for a 5 speed with the options I wanted. It's just so much more enjoyable when you want to have fun. Of course the auto is nice in the NJ traffic, but show some will power and hold out for what you want.
