Car shaking while idling now, service engine light on now too

Guys, all of a sudden now, my car is now shaking real bad when idling and when the AC is running. If I turn the AC off, the shaking seems to get better. It feels like the engine is about to shut off. What do you think is wrong?? My guess is that my Alternator needs to be replaced. Any ideas? I have an appt. with Nissan tomorrow and I have an extended warranty, but they better not give me any B.S. about not covering it. I know dealerships always try to find ways to get out of warranty work. I have installed a sub and an amp to the factory Bose stereo so they better not talk about "we not covering it because your sub and amp caused it to go bad" ..... what you guys think it may be?

The link isnt working. Well heres an update, I checked my oil and it was low. Funny because I just got an oil change 2 days ago, thats why i decided to check it out. Well, it was low so I added a quart of oil and the shaking went away. But my check engine light is still on. I am wondering if I fixed the problem or if it just isnt showing itself right now. Anyone ever had this problem happen when your oil is low?

Go to Autozone to read and reset the codes. The problem maybe just that simple. I had that happened to my Pathfinder a couple of times after a car wash. The whole car was shaken when idling. A bottle of Chevron fuel injector cleaner took care of the problem in about 10 minute driving.

After thinking about your issue, there is a engine-oil monitor icon on the console. If your oil pressure is low, it should light up. If it happens again, you may try a gas system treatment. It works for me all the time. Well, except one time for my '04, I let the dealer taking care of it under warranty and it turned out to be a loose CAT.

to reset your system just unhook ur battery and rehook it after 2 min, i think that should, do the trick, and if your light comes back on u got a problem.

Yea I know, I thought the same thing. But I have no idea why after I put in a quart of oil, that they problem went away. I mean literally, as soon as I poured the oil in I started it and the shaking just faded away after 30 seconds. I need to get something else fixed by Nissan anyways so Ill just have them check why the engine light is still on. Thanks for all the help guys and if anyone has more info, please let me know.

I was thinking maybe something happend to the air-mass-flow sensor.

That probably isnt going to do anything. To reset the ECU theres a certain procedure.

True that, according to the manual either the procedure has to be done or you have to disconnect the battery for 24 hours.

I have the same shaking problem but its not when idling. Its when I am on the highway going ~50- 30 mph. It would just start shaking for no reason. Then it would go away just as mysteriously as it came.
