Well Darn! I'm not too sure what happened to my original post. I'll repost those questions...

Basically, I was wondering if anyone had any information replacing the grill on a fifth generation Maxima. I have found links for earlier models, but no luck with a 2000. I would like to replace the grill with, perhaps, a mesh grill that can be painted the color of the car. Also, my car is silver and has about 16K miles on it. I am considering stripping the Nissan badge from the trunk lid. I have a detail friend who is a F150 freak and has experience and know-how in doing this type of thing. I was just wondering if anyone has done this and met with any regret. My friend is confident that, as young as my car is and being a lighter color, it shouldn't be a problem. I hope I'm not leaving the impression that I am not proud of my Nissan, because I certainly am. It's oh so choice. I just don't really appreciate their bulky lack o' style badge. I think the rear end would look a little more slick if it didn't have that dad gum tumor growth on it. As for the grill, I just wanted to customize that from the get go. Since I'm dragging this out, I'll ask one more question. I would like to fill and paint the holes that were drilled for the front license plate, as I don't require them. What should I expect to spend on that repair? I suppose, I should hold off on that job until I'm ready to paint the new grill (should I find one), the splash guards, and the moonroof visor grommet. Any additional exterior aesthetic tips will too be appreciated. Thanks!

De-badging is easy. You should have no unexpected problems.

Presently, there are no aftermarket grills made for the 5th Generation Maxima. Sorry.
