Exedy stage 1 clutch won't fit

I posted this in the the allmotor section, since I'm doing a swap, but no one was able to help me out yet..

So here I am happy that my 3.5 swap is nearing completion..then the mechanic just told me he couldn't get my exedy organic clutch to go on.. this is the part I ordered from Justin at import parts plus:

Exedy Single Plate Organic Part #06803A - 1998 Maxima

It has the right number of splines but they are too wide, he had two other guys try and they couldn't get it on. Is this the wrong clutch? Any ideas?

Dunno about it not fitting...but why would you put a stage 1 clutch on the 3.5? ...you'd burn it out quick, should go with a spec stage 2 clutch or somethin. to each own i guess. did you swap out tranny's?

I didn't swap out the tranny, and I've read that the stage 1 should hold. So anyone have any idea why its not fitting, other people got the stage 1 to fit, right? I wonder if I was sent the wrong part.. or if its defective.. Not sure what to do at this point.

After 12 emails and pictures of the the disk and the orginial clutch and serial numbers etc. its finally been determined that I was shipped the wrong disk. I've sent it back and they will be shipping me the correct disk tomorrow. Hopefully this is the last hiccup in my project
