99 motor in a 95 - Starting problem
Hey guys long time no see.
Need some help. Just replaced my blown out motor with a 99 motor. I have a 95 auto max. And shes having starting problems, When we try to start it jerks for a while and then starts. After it starts its working great.
we have replaced the starter and the ign switch. We tryed to change the comp but we didnt know if theres was a change in comp from 95 to 99.
I was thinking it was the maf but i really dont know.
ill be working on the car next week, and I was wondering what else could be doing that problem.
Thanks Alot Guys

95 and 99 ecu's are not compatible, neither are the wiring harneses they both use. If the car starts and runs, then I don't believe it's a ecu issue. I would say it's sensors/coils/vacuum lines that may be bad or misplaced.
