i took a the ramp off the highway too hard because of the road, i had to slam on the brake.. i was in neutral, i felt the brak pedal pumping sorta when i slammed on them. did i burn out my brakes or mess anything up? i never had ABS before so i dont know how they feel. my brakes work good i guess just like b4 but im still worried. plus the roads gave my suspension a sh#t load of a beating

it's your abs kicking in. the quick pulsing you felt in your foot is the pads easing and depressing very quickly. more obvious than other systems, but still the same.

judging from you having a 5th gen maxima.. i say YES THEY WERE FUDGED FROM THE FACTORY. i've replaced my rotors under warranty and they are still messed up.. warped rotors are real common problems amoungst our maximas.. it creats that pulsating, shaking effect.. very bad.. i hate it..

It's the ABS. It gives you a nice foot massage

Yep. I don't bother with the rotors anymore, with the whole warped rotors crap. I work at a Nissan dealership and they still feel the same no matter what. I guess Nissan fudged up on our rotors that year. Cross drilled rotors don't sound bad, I should take it to the Service Dept. and I have the mechanic drill me some holes. :]

I think my dad's might have the same problem. But it seems like its only on hot days at ANY speed. even at 10 mph the brakes start making a sound (rumbling? gurgling maybe..) and the car sorta vibrates. is that the warped rotor problem?
