How RETARDED do you have to be to Drive?

FOR F***s SAKE! People are SO ****en careless to other peoples property! I woke up this morning and saw a HUGE ****EN DENT on my car. it was most likely from yesturday in the parking lot @ my college.

THEY DIDNT EVEN LEAVE A NOTE! I Swear to the GOD's Of Automobiles I will find this DOUCHE BAG and Beat the Living snot out of His/Her Car! I already loaded my trunk with a bat so im ready. I dont give a **** if i get arrested.

I LOVE my Car, I put sooo much work into restoring the body work/Interior only to have some careless son of a ***** smash it due to Lack or PARKING SKILLS.

*************
If i find the car(left over paint on my car is White), what can i do Legaly? Can i Sue them for a hit and run?

****!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I FEEL LIKE BEATING THE **** OUT OF THEM!

HOw the **** can You Just Brush it Off and Not give a **** about someone else's Property? Someone elses property they worked HARD for to Buy?

If you do somehow manage to find them - take pictures of your car and their, the licence plate and call the cops.. although it would be more satisfying to dish out some street justice.. the legal way will probably be the most satisfying in the end... this way you're not left to repair the damage out of your pocket.. If you want to get ultra-detectivey, take off a chip of their paint for comparison against the paint left on your car..

it happens sometimes. They didn't run over your arm, they dented your car. it's all fixable, so don't exaggerate.

some students are just idiots.. they get everything paid for by mommy and daddy and have never developed a sense of respect for property that some people actually pay for with their own money..

its jacked up it happened, but with no note and nothing to go on, you'll just have to move on.

You should be able to get that pulled without having to get any paint work done.

Like Tavarish stated, its fixable, atleast they didnt chop off your arm and run away.

Yea its fixable...out of my pocket.

And the layer of paint is scratched off. So, even if i get it poped out(mo money), still has nasty scars.

Ahh whatever, sometimes i just wish people would die. /no suicidal.

He doesn't need to relax he has every right to be as pist off as he is plus more. For some guys that pump thousands, and thousands, and more thousands into their car really take this **** personally.

This is one of the reasons my car is not a daily driver.

Anyways, go back to the campus parking lot within 1.5 hour of the same time you had parked it yesterday. I gurantee to you the moron takes classes their. If you don't see them today, go back next thursday, they probably have class around that time. Look for a car that matches the paint. If you find a few measure the distance from the ground up on your panel and their front and rear bumpers. Most importantly look for scratches or beige paint on their car or even scuff marks. Take pictures note down the license plates, wait for them and break all hell loose.

This reminds me of a time I just finished eating lunch at a pizza place with some good friends of mine. As we were leaving, a new Ford Expedition pulled out of a parking spot across the way from us, and swiped the side of a Prius parked next to it, leaving damage severe enough that I could see the dents from the good 70-90 feet away I was. The expedition then calmly rolled away, out to the street, and took a right turn without stopping nor speeding away. While my moronic buddies stood around talking about how hot the teenage girl driving the ford was, I called the police, reported what had happened, and gave them the 4 digits of the license plate I was able to make out.
What astounded me was how shocked my friends were that I did this. They reacted to it like I just committed murder. They began screaming at me and saying things like "I can't believe you would do that. I hope someday someone does the exact same thing to you!"

My jaw almost hit the floor. I still don't speak to one of them over this incident. I just couldn't believe that someone could be that angry over doing the right thing, although I must say that they were more angry that the girl was going to get in a lot more trouble for the hit & run than just hitting the car, and that's what was mean on my part. However, I must say, hearing stories like these makes me feel better about what I did. I'm sorry this happened to you, I wish there was some "lame tattling spiteful jerk" like me around to help ya out.

Hope things work out for you.

Thank you for doing the right thing.

This happened to my maxima in a college parking lot, only someone called the cops like you did and i was able to file a police report and get my car fixed for free.

BTW the cops dont really care about non injury hit and runs. In fact my report wasnt even filed as a hit and run and people there got tired of me calling it a hit and run when it "wasnt really a hit and run"

Then again, I live in Kentucky...

funny... last week I was visiting family in SC, and we were out eating somewhere, and we saw a hit and run, and were able to stop the guy from leaving.. we waited for at least two hours for the cops to show.. never did see them.. we eventually left.. hopefully everything turned out ok though.. but yeah, the cops apparently don't care.

hope you find the person who did it.. just let the cops handle it.

ah , thats right! this reminds me of a time i was walking with my neighbor, and this suv backed into a ferrari-YEA A FERRARI (alot of exotic cars in miami) and tore a hard scratch down the middle of the bright shiny candy red hood of the $200,000 car, the dude in the suv peeled away,my neighbor jotted down the license plate, and left a note as to what happened and slipped it in the ferrari for the owner to find. i couldnt beleive it, although i know why the guy in the suv peeled off as the paint job to fix the hood of the ferrari would have prob been about 2-3 gs.

How about the time I was backing up, turning right, into a parking spot in a ally that had another dead end into it. I looked in my rearview mirror, no one there, back up, scrape! A dumbarse lady had pulled wayy to close too me in the few seconds I had turned my head and was looking at my parking spot and I hit her. This was in my old mx3 which has very bad blind spots when backing up and turning, I wish I was in my maxima

This and other acts of stupidity have caused me to come up with my "Law of Idiocy" which states the more people gathered in an area the stupider they become, this effect doubles in schools, triples while driving and in mobs.

Oh and when I started driving 2 years ago I vowed to be aware of everything around me. Had I been paying attention to what was more behind me insted of cars coming down the "T" of the ally Id be fine, or if the lady hadnt of gotten too close to me in the frist place, my reverse lights DO work.

Shadyonedeath- Thats not too bad. People like that are just completely inconsiderate, they just dont care. "Hey its not my problem" kinda stuff. well GL on MAKING it their problem.Trust me go to a dent removal shot

Sorry about what happened... However, there's nothing you can do about it, legally or illegally. You didn't see him/her hitting your car, so you have no right (street justice that is) to touch that person's car even if you are sure who he/she is...

You should be able to remove some of the trunk liner and maybe push it out.

Keep in mind that there is very little room (3rd gens at least) and also try to only use your hands as any kind of tool (crowbar, etc...) will leave futher indentations and may damage the paint.

What are you all doing with bats?

Do you know that there are people out there (and on this website) that open carry (guns...)? Save the bats for tee-ball practice.

to an extent, easy with the violence people. I am just thankful that my nearly 10 year old still has only 88k and runs like a champ. I have a little crease down my drivers side due to my own bad backing out skills(I ran into a knot on a tree). For some reason people have decided to punish that side of the car. I have a dent from some dumbass and his door, then some landscapers decided to run a nice long scrape down the side of the car. Like I said, though, I am just happy my baby gets me from A to B decently fast.

BTW, my response to hitting the knot was, "well that sucks". Three other members were there to laugh at my non chalant response. It was there I couldn't do a damn thing about it.

I know how frustrating it is to see a scratch, let alone a large dent on one's car. Some fool backed into my car while it was parked, left a couple of black scuff marks, peeled a little bit of paint, off of my rear bumper. You can't really notice it till you get close and personal, and I was stil pissed when I saw it as I was cleaning my car.

Having said that, it always important to keep things in prespective. You are not hurt. None of your family members are hurt. None of your friends got hurt. A car is just a materialistic item (no matter how much we love 'em ) Money comes and goes. I had one of my very good friends die in a car accident about a year ago.. so there are different levels of gravity here. Be thankful to God that this dent was the only result, could a been much much worse.

I was in a parking lot once, waiting in my car when this old fat guy pulled in the park next to me. I looked over as he got out, and he didnt see me cos ive got dark tinted windows and his car was alot higher than my max. Anway, he basically smashed his door into the side of my car! At that point my jaw just dropped and i could feel the rage build up! I got out of the car and yellowed out "wtf are you doing" the old guy **** himself and realised 2 secs later wat i was goign on about.
He then started to aplogise and said that his door hit the plastic bit and didnt scratch it. I went over to have a look and there is is a bit of a scratch on the plastic part. The guy looked **** scared so i basically told him to be more carefull in the future and decided to let it go. I didnt want him having a heart attack or something
Although if it was some young college punk who didnt care or was a smartass id probably have taken it further.

Two stories:

1. I was coming out of the grocery store once when I saw an old 2-door beater parked next to my car. It was full of highschoolers. The passenger opened his door hard and fast, and it hit the driver side door of my '97 I30. I was about 10 feet away so I just walked up, pulled out my Glock and put it in the mouth of the kid who hit my car. That's a joke In all seriousness, I had my wife (then fiancee) with me at the time, so I just walked up and said "You need to watch what you're doing. Go ahead and close your door so I can see how much it's going to cost you." The little pukes were wide-eyed in the car and I could hear the driver cussing out his friends for doing that. Believe it or not, there was no damage at all...no dings or scratches. I let them get out of the car and told them to be more careful. They apologized and life went on.

2. I pulled in to a local Italian joint and got out of my car because my wife was already waiting for me inside. Before I walked in, I witnessed a blue Kia Optima pull out of her parking space too sharply and she put like a 4 foot scrape down the side of the newer Accord next to her. The offender was an older woman, and I guess she just didn't even notice what she did, so she took off. I quickly memorized her license plate number and went in to the restaurant and let the manager know. About 30 minutes later, a young lady came up to my table to thank me and also asked me to give my story to the police officer. It interrupted a nice meal with my wife, but she was appreciative and I hope someone would do the same for me.

Sorry about that man . I once hit someone's car in a lot. Barely knocked the dust off, but still went WAAYYY out of my way to find them, when I did, they were in w/ the doctor, so I couldn't tell them. I left a detailed note w/ my name and number, along w/ insurance agent's name and #. They called me later to tell me it didn't matter, they were getting ready to trade it off anyway. It sure felt better than just running away.

I hope you find them.

Agreed, friend of mine got hit while waiting for a friend to run in the store (he was still in the car) and after following the guy home the guy gets out and points a gun right at him. Scared the crap outta him and needless to say he would never follow someone again. It was only a few minor scratches to the rear bumper so he didn't feel the need to go to the police in case the guy got violent.
