odometer wire??

I know some people think this is a good thing, but I am trying to be honest..I see that my odometer isnt reading any more miles, so i figured maybe something wrong with where it is reading..so I am assuming it is some sort of wire by the front wheels???location please?

This is a problem because...? Someone correct me if I am wrong, but, doesn't the speed and miles work together? If the odometer is the only thing broke, sounds like a bad cluster panel?

I would have to say it's definitely a bad cluster. Happened in my old 01 I30, the deal replaced it and set the new one at the correct milage.

the miles may not be going up on the odomoter...but they stiil are in the ECU (the odomoter reading on the cluster is just a display). when you fix the cluster, it will correct itself.

I thought the mileage is only stored in the cluster and not the ECU?
