Necessity of Corner Balancing..

There seems to be somewhat limited info on this topic so I figured Id throw it out here for some discussion. Ive had my D2s for awhile now and have heard several people mention that I should have the car corner balanced. Im getting to the point where I need an alignment, is this something I should go ahead and have done as well? thanks guys

For top performance, yes you want the car corner balanced. You can drive the car with out doing it. Depending on how close you are now you may not even notice. One of the big advantages of coilovers is the ability to corner balance the car for even handling on left and right turns.

I've been debating this myself, Grant...
I think I decided on tires, and I need and allignment... BAD.
I'm thinking I MIGHT take it to Digital Chassis in Raleigh and have him corner balance the car...
But I had an idea..
We should just have one of our cars corner balanced, and split the cost.
Because once he sets the coilovers, we can measure them, and figure out where to put them on the other car and have the exact same settings that he set the other coilovers at...

Then we both get allignments and we're good to go.

You should e-mail John and have him give you his whole schpeele (sp??) about corner balancing.

I don't think that it's a good idea...

Every chassis is different, even if it's the same model. To give you an example, I ordered stage 1 LTB from Matt which he built specifically for a 5th gen chassis. When I tried installing it, it turned out that the bar was too short for my chassis. I'm 100% sure that Matt took the measurements very accurately, yet the LTB I received could not be installed on my car without further modifications. (bending)

no two cars are the same. That's like saying you'll use the same s-afc settings for two different cars and expect the same A/F ratio

You also have to take into account:
1. driver weight
2. wheel/tire weight
3. weight of car options
