I have a pair of retrofits.They are 97-99 lamps painted black with e55 projectors which are bi-xenon and have 4300k bulbs.These have been completed for about a year. All the wiring is included along with bulbs and ballasts.I have no pictures of beam pattern since i havn't installed them on the car yet. I never planed on selling them but the car they are for is nowhere near done.I could use the money to finish off other projects. No dibs here either you want them now or you don't. They may end up going on ebay

Gotten cheap? They have been cheap @sses forever. Always complaining they want something, and then crying when they hear the price.
Apparently no one is considering the price of the projectors, bulbs, the ballasts, then the cost of the actual headlights and last the labor.

I remember back when i joined the org there was a retrofit that sold on ebay for around a $1000.

I don't have to sell these but it would be nice.These are worth far more then $600 to me. If i do end up selling them i will be going with retrofitted cefiros.

 

Retrofits are done on everything now, causing demands to drop for higher price units. I dont think Im cheap, cosmetics are just pretty low on my list.

 

doesn't matter if everything and their mom has a retrofit. doesn't mean the price should go down.

the labor is what is the killer part. This is a good price. If you think the price is steep then don't post, cosmetics aren't high are you list anyway, so why did you waste your time posting anyway?

No thats not reasonable. I wouldn't take a penny less then $600

 

I think another thing is that most 4th gens on this board are worth $2-4k, spending $600 on a set of headlights may seem unreasonable then.

That said, I'd do it if I had the cash. Whoever's interested in these should keep in mind that they can sell their original headlights off for a few extra bucks. E55 bixenons are very good mid-level projectors--bump for a good product.

 

Im still very serious, but Id rather spend more on a bigger turbo than headlights. My cefiros are pissing me off so Im switching back to regular headlights. Ill also need fenders if anyone has a set available ...

There is no reserve and i will not be ending the auction early. They will be sold on ebay regardless of price. I would never part it out. What parts would you want other then just buying them complete?

 

Good luck on the sale but I would hate for you to get under $400 for this setup.

also fanaticrockford, the 4300K bulbs, you chose due to the highest lighting visibilty? no 6-7k's? anyhow, you sold them, to me, paypal will be sent after auction.

it is a good price for anyone who wants a set, just like how Kevlo's LED tails are a great price, but if I was interested in thigns like that then I would definately pay for it,

I got a great deal on the bulbs and everything. I was looking for the 4300k anyway because it produces the whitest light.

As for the hazard switch. I may have one. I'll check but if i do and you win the auction it's yours for an added bonus.

u should just sell teh headlight with the bulb retainers and part out the ballast/ bulbs you would make more money that way. I would sell the headlight for 375 plus shipping imo and than part out the ballast for 175 and bulbs for 60,

just my ecperience with HID retros better to part out then sell as a package go to HID planet there are plenty of ppl there who need bulbs and ballast

 

I am actually going to be building a replica set of projectors, identical to what I created before. I will post pics when I am done again.

wow, awesome sale. i think the kicker was the Bi-xenon. most people don't like losing their highbeams when doing a retrofit for projectors.
