clutch question. yes i searched first

some mornings my car wont start. it doesnt crank. i have to keep depressing and pressing the clutch really hard before it starts. when it does start. it starts fine, no long cranks or anything. i have noticed some clutch slippage. esp in 3rd gear going 50-60 ish. i know i have to get a new clutch, but is the clutch why my car has trouble starting?

-i have have a cel code for the MAF sensor. maybe its that?

the 5th gen clutch replacement is only for the 00, and 01 versions right. since the 02 and up have a vq35?

can one of those 5th gen exedy clutches (on ebay) be use to any benefit over a 4th gen exedy replacement. thanks..

5th gen (00, 01) OEM clutch kit can fit the 4th gens.
Bad Maf sensor can give trouble starting up. Fix that first.

when you crank is it trying to catch? or just nothing like you hear silence when you turn the key?
