Part # Question(s)

Part # 20031-0L710 - Tube Assmembly Exhaust aka Connector Pipe

Dealer told me I need a "midpipe", and referenced the part # above, but kept mentioning it when he mentioned needing an oxygen sensor. Always thought the midpipe was involved w/ the intake, not w/ the O2 sensor. Is there another midpipe? What exactly is this part? And of course I didn't think about this after I left, so I figured I'd ask y'all.

Yes, part of the exhaust, but, I looked up the part # of Courtesyparts.com and it was only like $35, and I dont think there is anything in the Max's exhaust that only cost $35 except hardware. A Midpipe on the exhaust will cost more then $150 in most cases. I think it's between the Cat and the muffler. There is a O2 after the cat. Maybe thats the one he's talking about. I think he got the part # wrong. What exactly is the problem you are having with it? What codes?

That's the small section immediately behind the main cat. It holds the rear O2 sensor, and sometimes the threads strip when you change it. I get $32 for it. I would never think to call it a "midpipe", tho.

Thanks for the clarity on the part. I don't know what these guys are doing...said I have a leak in my power steering feed hose, but i've had no decreaase in fluid over the last 6 weeks or so, and said one of my bulbs is out, which it's not, and i need a MT fluid service, even tho it was changed 10k miles ago. Gotta love that free service clinic.
