If your ride really has a problem with "carbon, oil sludge, dirt and other abrasives in your engine," a bottle of Auto-RX is not going to be a saubstitute for fixing what you really need....like rings or valve guides.

 

well my engine rattles and its got 113k on it and its a used car and its not in the best of condition and the previous owner didnt take that good care of it so i figured i would rinse some of the engine sludge out

 

use the link above, do 2 treatments per there instructions, mabye one in the tranny too, and a tad in the power steering if you really plan to keep her for a while...

I used it with good results; no matter what anyone else on this forum says. To answer your question, no it's not available in retail stores - use the link to the website. I've used it in both engine and transmission and had real world, noticeable benefits.

 

I used AutoRX before switching to synthetic oil in February and I, too, have had good results.

The VQ is not a sludge monster, but I had some varnish in the crankcase and I cut the oil filter in half following the rinse phase (phase 2) and was surprised at the crap hung up in the filter media. I have owned the car since new and it had predominately highway miles on it, but I am still pleased.

yes but slighty...it deff helps with gas mileage and if u replace the fuel filter at the same time u get outstanding mileage just thought id let u guys kno that...fyi i just did that the other day and theres no regrets with that!

I find something wierd about a little metal piece in my gas tank doing all that stuff....sounds like bs to me. Plus the comment about adding 8-18% hp is weird too. Don't know who's bought that....
