MEVI is nice, but its not night-and-day... Also suspect the ECU needs a little time to adjust fully. Im gonna take the car for a Dyno to get some numbers around it.

The hood is like 40 lbs weight reduction off the part that needed it most!
Car weighs only 2800 (+ driver & petrol) on roadcourse days...!

If you weren't such a bad MF I would tell you to resize those pics and take it to member's rides, but you are a bad MF. Rock on!

I was also wondering about the gain with the mevi without a ecu or eu? I'm still gonna probably go with one ,but I think you need a ecu with it. Does the low end feel worse or about the same as before?

btw car looks hot as $hit! I love the hood, I'mm thinking my self now.

Thanks for the encouraging comments all! (Not sure what Maxinthamax is talking about, probably a mustang owner!?)

The Hood was around $800 shipped... I figured it was worth it for the extra weight savings since that was the main reason for doing it... It was about 50% more expensive, 50% lighter than most. (fiberimages.com - Ordered direct from them - nice chap named Will)

Heck Ya I got a JWT ECU and the switch is at 5100 RPM. 6950 RPM sounds pretty nice.. I dont notice any loss in Midrange but the top end definately is quicker. Im really curious to see the Dyno results compared to the others I have.

I have a pair of Aerocatch pins but I gotta find a shop that Im confident will not screw it up.

Hi Sounbwoy how are you man...Ive been away from the track for a while, saving up the $ for the mods that you see. So no new track footage at the moment.... After 1 more event I will be rocking on Toyo RA-1s and I think Ill get one of those new g-tech RR's to see how the handling is dialed up.
If memory serves you already did see this one

Those are big pins. Hopefully they dont mess up drilling for them. There goes an $800 Hood.

I got myself a set of CF hood pins. They are great.

Sorry didn't know you had the ecu. Please get those dyno numbers. I'll bet once you hit 5000 the thing takes off like a jet!

I'm really looking to do this and want to see some more dyno numbers.

When your title says new lungs, I thought it was some camshafts, but mevi is just as good to hear. Nice job on everything, man. Keep it up!

Where's maxinthmax's post? I don't seem to be able find that post and the stupid comment he just made. Anyways, he should be banned for saying dumb comments like that.

There are still a few of us running MEVI's without an ECU and the cars are running strong. If your car is running top shape, you won't notice a difference. There is a loss in midrange but I couldn't feel a huge diffence when I got an ECU.

Wow, nice man, how much did those Enkeis set you back?

Also, it looks like your rotors are slotted all the way through... be careful, those should be more prone to cracking than "properly" slotted rotors...

Very nice!

The extra bit of frosting on the cake would be to put some paint on those calipers.

Thanks guys-

Heres how the pins will look / work when installed. They look pretty cool IMO, esp if in a diagonal orientation like \ /

Hey Nadir- I do have the lightweight battery for track days still... had to buy a new one however.
