Man my car also did not have any cool down time, and it really didn't feel that strong like sometimes it does. I know it could do more!

Russ-
I've compared your slip to a few of mine under very similiar conditions on June 6 in Kansas City. The only difference in conditions was that I'm running at 1100' vs your near sea level track. Comparing my runs that had 2.3+ 60 foots with yours, it appears my car is pulling yours at all foot markers. All my runs that had 2.3 60' were in the 15.1/15.2 @ 92mph range. My last run of the night, with a scorching intake manifold, was a 15.01@92.5mph with a 2.28 60'.
I'm sure heat soak is a bit of an issue, but not near the problem the 4th gens have with the cast intake manifold. You want a cold intake manifold and hot cylinder heads.
I would say your car's problem mostly is due to the humidity and then the heat. The way I see it, on a cooler and drier day your car will have more power and torque therefore it will launch harder and your 60 will go down and the car will get some topend back. I would say with a 2.2 60' and cooler weather, you could hit a 15.0 and possibly a 14.9 if you're lucky. I'd also say the problem is the wheels, but MadMax ran a 14.4@96 with those very wheels. If you got rid of those anchors, you'd instantly drop .2, no doubt.
The real question is........... why aren't you modding yet

Mods on the way..
HKS exhaust, Matrix intake for performance.
Also, you are moddded and I am stock Dave. The intake on the 2001s are a bit more restrictive the scoop wise. I got to see one recently, and they have the opening actually closed up a bit more. So hopefully when I get this intake, it should really open her up. You ran the car, you know how fast it is.

J/K I'm just playing with ya. That intake will help a little bit and the exhaust might add a 1 hp or 2hp. Don't expect huge gains. I was actually quicker with my stock muffler vs my old HKS muffler. Since you're running a underhood "hot air" intake like myself (changed back to my modified HKS intake), make a heatshield. I can post a pic if you want it.

Please do send me a pic. I would like to see that and what you used and how you made it. Thanks!
