Stick with 6K or lower. You'll still have ample amount of light output as to not look overly "rice."

This is when I had 8000ks in my car 2 weeks ago. I switched to 6000k NOT because I could not see that well, but imo they are kinda ricey. I actually had no problem seeing at night. I had em on for one month and got rid of them b/c they were just ricey to me. I think they look good on civics and most other hondas though.

Which do I like better? 6000k

8k is kinda ricy, too blue imo. 6k is whiter than stock but not as blue as 8k. youll love the 6k man.

I disagree with the 8k being ricey...IMO, it does look hawt as hel!...but i know everyone has different tastes...

that being said, I switched out my 8k becuz I lost way too much output...don't get me wrong, 8k is still stronger than my mom's halogen powered camry....but I just didn't like the fact that I lost too much output...if you careless about output...and want to do it only for SHOW purposes, then by all means, get 8k...you will not regret it

Get 6k if you want the best of both worlds....

I think it depends on which manufacturer you buy from. 8000k can be anything from blue to purple on ebay . I had purple 8000k and I loved them because overhead highway signs looked like neon and stood out. Anything with reflective tape glowed like neon as well. White police cars couldn't hide at the side of the road because they stood out like a sore thumb. And although the output was less than oem, they were still better than halogens.

haha that's exactly why those higher k bulbs get hated on by many people. they create more glare therefore you see signs light up neon i guess lol

my first time seeing another 5.5gen maxima driving behind me at night and it looks like it's a lot of glare already and that car has stock 4100k too =/ so i can only imagine how much more glare 8000K and above can be

I would go with the 6k. IMO they aren't too blue and still have great light output. Just my $.02 though.

6000k or less. Anything else is a waste of your time and money.

changing a color temp higher can't cause more glare when it produces less light output...

if you have glare from the reflectors, you have glare. it's just that the glare will be a different color now

Philips/Osram is the OEM manufacturer of the HID bulbs for all auto manufacturers as far as I know. (someone correct me if I'm wrong)

They are a great company known for quality products etc.
Plus their D2R bulbs actually come with the glare shroud on them, unlike many other brands which make them just like the D2S bulbs, but with different bases.
