What a pain. Get the engine started and can't shift. Had to pry up the plastic shift housing/plastic cover, then take a screw driver to push the plastic back so it would latch as I pressed on the brake and the shifter mechanism.

Did this a few times and just sprayed some Slick 50 lubricant, which was the first thing I had handy. Haven't tried to shift since. Feel sorry for those people especially women who would have to call a tow truck or something and get charged probably 500 dollars to fix this at a stealership.
