Oh.... snap my master cylinder is leaking very bad

Hi, guys i have a serious problem here with the vg. First off i tried to drive the car but then i noticed the car's brake peddle hits the floor with no power i quickly drove back then i popped up the hood then saw there was no brake fluid then puts some in there then it was working fine then when i was trying to come back home same thing there is no fluid so i had to put some in and drive home with caution. came home parked it on the driveway then i noticed some big dripping puddle under the car with in just 2 minutes.. so i was like wow this is bad so i took the master cylinder out because it to was leaking then i also noticed there was the master cylinder drum or unit that holds the brake cylinder is leaking to so now i would like to fix the problems my self but would like some help with some istallations and some advices .thanks .......

The Drum you're talking about sounds like the brake power booster. You should have no brake fluid in there. It probably leaked from the master cylinder into the Booster. Remove the fluid immeditely, since it will damage the diaphram in the booster (read expensive). Replace or rebuild the master cylinder and it should be O.K.

I have a leak also that seems to be coming from between the cylinder and the booster. My question is can I take the cylinder off without draining it.
What is between the booster and the cylinder? Is there a gasket of some sort?

sure you can take it off without draining it, but you'll make a mess.

there is nothing between the master and booster
