I recently bought the Cattman Y pipe in the group deal and I would like to bring it into a shop for them to put it in. How long does it take and how much should they charge? Are there any other parts I need to buy first? Should there be instructions in the box? I did not receive any? PLEASE HELP!! I plan to get this thing installed within the next few days. Just don't want to get ripped off!!!

 

Took mine to Midas and they charged me $80 (incl gaskets). (The guy had to re-thread the hole for the rear O2 sensor because my Cattman pipe's threading was not quite correct - the front one was fine). I've also heard guys getting charged $100. So I would venture a guess of between $70 - $100. It took about 1.5 hours.

 

I think after Kevz Max I like yours 2nd on this forum. Man I wish I had gotten a white one. There was 1 at the dealer when I was getting mine but it was Loaded to the bone and I didn't need all the stuff on it plus it was like $29,600. but O well. I'm happy with my Green Machine.

No problem both of U. I Just came from Mides. the guy put my car on the lift, looked under it and said he couldn't do it b/c its against the law. B4 the Cat he says there are 2 other cats. and removeing them is against the law. he won't sell me the freekin gaskets either. said he didn't have em.. He called OSHA in DC to confurm.. Man this is begining to **** me off.

 

Did mine in NY (u know, where u get anything for a price ) Anyway, if u take it to any little muffler or auto repair shop you shouldn't have a problem.

Yongjun, talking to U last night. U still have your gaskets or did U toss them? all I need are the gaskets, I'll put the pipe on myself. if so let me know I'll buy em off U. and I'll even buy U dinner at Hooterz.. dealer says the gaskets are 2 differant sizes and he has to order them. I don't want him to order the wrong **** and then expect me to pay for it. I looked at the pipe and both ports are the same size

I live in California. They Y doesn't have anything to do with getting rid of the 2 cats, right? I shouldn't have a problem with Midas or anything?
