What did you guys use to seal MAF->charge pipe?

I finally got to a mechanic with a smoke machine. I found about 5 separate leaks, one of which was around the MAF where it connects to the charge pipe. My question is, what did you guys put between the two surfaces where they mate to provide an air seal? How effective was it and where did you get it from?

There's supposed to be a rubber o-ring that goes in between the maf and whatever you bolt on to it. If you look at the MAF, you will see the little crevice for it. You can prolly get one at the nissan dealer.

Where did you get that from locally? Believe it or not, I have been having one hell of a time finding gasket material at PepBoys and AutoZones around here...

That large Nissan O-Ring should be enough for sure unless they are not mating on a good angle...do it off the car so it mates perfectly....if you do it on the car with it connected to the blower, it will pull down on one side of the maf..

I've had that problem too and so I've been using PERMATEX® High-Temp RTV Silicone Gasket Maker.

You can also look for a replacement O-ring. I picked up a non-Nissan O-ring and it was the right diameter but thicker rubber.
