Silverstars arent all they are cracked up to be

Ok a long story short. Replaced orig HB with Hellas Optilux line ( a 65 watt version). This

http://www.amazon.com/Hella-OptiLux-...8&s=automotive

So i bought the Silver stars, thinking more of a hid look to match my low beam HIDS, and they are the exact same color and brightness as the Hellas(optilux). So i have 2 sets of "HID" style lights. I want to now have the fogs be the same color, instead of blue hids, white HB and orig yellowish tinted fogs. Im lookingh at the Optilux as the same color just cheaper.

http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss_au...rds=optilux+h3

My questions are these:
What is the orig wattage for stock HI Beams?
What is the orig wattage for stock fog lights?
will going to a 100watt fog light hurt anything?
I assume with a glass case the 100 watts would be ok for fogs, but any opinions.
Thanks Jeff

burn out the light harness if you dont get a relay summit or ebay sells them oem fog are 55watt(open for corrections /.02) anyway you will draw too much power with 100 watt bulb with out relay.

Does the wattage determine brightness. If stock is 55 then a 65watt shouldnt be that much more damaging would it?

they arent what o thought theyd be but i want to make the fogs match the rest of the lights. Dont want to shell a ton of money for hids so i figured get the silverstars or optilux's for the fogs. DOes anyone have any other bulb suggestions for the fogs on an 03 max. Oh also was reading on the Hella optilux 2500
http://www.autoanything.com/lights/69A1333A0A0.aspx
how would i mount these in place of the orig fog lights?

I have silverstars in my high beams, and they were a little yellower than I thought they'd be, but they light up the road just fine. I honestly couldn't care less if they match the other lights, because nobody's going to be seeing them anyway. As long as they function well, that's my main concern. That's why I decided to stick with the stock 4300k low beams when I got new D2Rs, because I didn't want to sacrifice output just for looks.

yup...true HID is the only way to go. PIAA will get you close, for $$$, and they may end up burning out.
although you could find something from www.automlumination.com
