How's your camber? I'm lowered on H&Rs and am to the very max of the negative camber specs (the specs are in my car...I'll grab them later). The tires are wearing on the inside faster than the outer and my only solution now is to rotate every 3k miles.

I'm not sure if I can justify the cost of a camber kit and the hassle of installing it. Your thoughts?

i had 225 45 17 on stock wheels and my camber was way off until i got my alignment and they messed with the camber plates. BTW i was tuckin tires so i was a lil bit lower then u were

 

My camber was slightly off....not by much.

 

Odd, I have H&Rs up front and my camber specs aren't off much at all. I certainly don't have the problem of uneven tire wear. Didn't experience it on H-Techs either. I have always run 225/50/17 though, but I can't imagine the tire size playing that great a role.

 

how low are you? I'm pretty low right now and I have no camber issues after I did my alignment. Here's a picture for reference:

I'm wondering if changing the ratio from 225/50 to 235/45 can affect it somehow. Maybe it's more pronounced with a lower profile tire?

 

then either something is screwed up with your car (ever been in an accident) or the people that did your alignment weren't very good. Seriously a bunch of us had no problems and some of us are dropped very low...

 

im pretty sure im just as low if not lower than most 5th gens, with my 235/45s on stock 17s i had no problems, even with my 255/40/17s i have no rubbing except because of my lovely intake problem (filters too big and pushing on the plastic liner).

 

Maybe...hopefully someone else with more knowledge can chime in as I don't really know.

 

I would get the camber adjustment...

It will end up costing you more in tires in the long run than just getting it corrected.

The 235--> 225 difference is VERY small and will not make any noticable difference.

2002SE with Tien S and Tokico Illumina. Don't seem to have a problem with the camber, however I did purchase the kit, just haven't checked yet, tirewear seems ok for now. I have 2k miles on my BFG G-Force KDW2's
