Key won't go into ignition?

alright guys i really need your help on this one. i was at my buddies house tonight and i go outside to get something out of my car and the rear passenger side window is open, well it fell out of the slide. i go home to work on it and after i get the panel off, i go to put the key in the ignition to see if i can see whats going on but the key won't go in. my car is a 5 speed and the button you have to press to get the key out is pressed in and the key won't go into the slot. ive tried turning the wheel, pushing in the clutch moving the car a little, so any ideas or knowledge in this field would be great
thanks
Drew

Your muffler is shot, take the ignition switch out and inspect it. If it's broken and can't be fixed, replace your muffler.

Um...OK?

put the head of the key in and turn it. if the button is still all of the way in, the cylinder prob isnt all of the way back.
