quick tire question
tire size has nothing to do with rim offset. Are you saying you want to put camaro rims on your max? I think max is 38 or 40 mm but i could be wrong. Might check the tire and wheels forum. I think there is a sticky (hint)
The question was what size wheel/tire will fit on the car, not what tire sizes will fit on a particular wheel.
To maximize the size of wheel to fit a particular car, the offset needs to be just right. You definitely don't want to experiment your way into this result if you don't have to.

as stated above, offset will be very important on how wide the tires will sit....the smaller the offset number, the wider out the wheel is....ie, a 35mm offset sits further out than a 45mm offset wheel
so, if you have a small offset wheel, then you risk rubbing your fenders, especially if you're lowered.
if you're larger offset, then you risk rubbing your inner fender liner when you turn, so you may not get the full turning radius.
if you're running a tire that wide, and you're not lowered, than a 40mm offset or smaller should be good (also depends on the width of the wheel).
IIRC, camaro wheels are pretty wide, so you may be getting yourself into trouble here.
tire wise, yes, they will fit most likely if you're putting them on Maxima wheels.

are you lowered at all? if not, then yes, with a 33mm offset wheel (as long as it's not 10" wide), you maybe able to get away with 255. you may be even safe with 265 with that offset, as long as the wheel is not wide.
245's will work, but again as stated already it will depend on the offset and width of the rim as to how its going to look, fit and perform. I have 245/45/17 and think its a little bit much sidewall, a 245/40 would be better IMO.

The lower pic is a 17x9 +34 with a 275/40 (track setup for my Z) the old tire package 255/40 stuck out a little less than the 275s
Too make a +33 look good you need an 8" wheel (8.5 would be pushing it) 8" wheel will limit you to 245s ... I would sugget 245/40s
