ok so i have this guy im going to college with that has a q45 and he is thinking bout parting it out. my question is what all will i have to do to fit the q45 T/B on the ve-5?

 

if it bolts on then you probably need to blend the intake manifold into the larger opening.

 

I wouldn't mess with the Q45 throttle body unless you're wanting to make some insane amount of power... basically it would be a useless mod unless you're slapping on a massive turbo or doing some other crazy mods.

 

i do plan on doing mods juz wondering what all would need to be done to mate it to the ve-5 intake manifold. turbo is one of the few mods planned to be done.

 

You won't need one that big till well over the 500 hp range... wheel horse power. Off the top of my head there's a guy with a Z31 making over 500 whp using a 240SX throttle body, which I believe is only 60 mm. The Q45 throttle body is 90 mm... basically overkill.

I believe the VE already has a 60 mm throttle body but I'm not sure. The VE guys will know that for sure.

i bored mine to 63.8 mm guy did it here in florida
