Stole this picture off an ebay sale*

The thing circled is your IAC on a VG. It has a little black spot on it with a rubber insert, take off the black rubber insert and you'll find a screw beneath it. The screw adjusts the idle.

I know where the screw is , but you can just turn the screw. there is a procedure that requires other stuff to be done if you want to adjust the idle properly.

What is the engine doing?

Idling too high/low/stumbling?

You really need to buy and FSM. We can't legally post pieces from one.

Also. You cannot just turn the screw, you need to turn off the AIC Valve by turning the screw on your ecu all the way clockwise. Then race the engine a few time, let it idle for a second, turn the screw until it it's around 750 rpms. Race it few times, check it. Turn the ecu back to counterclockwise. Restart the car, check idle.

Only do this if the idle is consitantly higher, or lower. Not if it is idle rough.

OK this is almost what I am looking for - Please clarify some points.

1. Do I turn the ecu screw clockwise when the engine is running or before I start it.
2. Do I turn the screw back with the engine running ?
3. there are some who say that you have to put the ecu into self diagnosis mode 3 and not off before doing this ? Any idea about this

Hmm, weird. I didn't know that. I just turned the screw in the engine bay and noticed a change in idle?

You don't need to. You can run it if you want.
