painting rear lights

I have a friend and he has an eclipse. Here is a picture of how he painted his rear lights.

Do you think its going to look good on our car, if you paint our tail lights?

You see how he just left the 2 circles and painted everything else, I was thinking of doing the exact same thing on the maxima.

what do you guys think

Is the paint on the outside or inside? Do you have the SE lights or the GXE/GLE lights?

I've seen it done on a white GXE and it looked very good.

i got the gxe and the paint is on the outside. If its not too much money than I might do it...i don't know

Wouldn't it be easier to scratch this because it is over plastic?

Thank god i got ablack car, i just need the SE tailights, no painting neccessary.
94 dollars a pair is to expensive.
