Hiya,

Ok, so I went to Meineke to get my brakes done over. I bought all the Raybestos brand parts (Rotors and Pads). They installed everything and now the car is constantly squeaking to a stop. I brought them back twice to get them re-surfaced and I am still getting that same sound. What should I do? Is there anything I buy? Or should I just keep complaining to Meineke? I am totally lost, they never squeaked until I bought these.

Can't beat OEM parts for Quiet

You can take the pads off and put some 'no squeak' on the back... but that won't help that much. The best thing to do is use OEM parts from Nissan....They will have the proper shims etc to use on the car.

Ok. Well I have one question. Is it the rotors or the pads making the noise? The rotors are new as well. Because I will just buy new pads. I don't care..

The rotors should be fine.. this is usually a pad problem.

Raybestos pads suck.
OEM or MetalMaster pads are the best way to go

metalmasters also squeak like a bit** if you don't have new shims. My car sounded like a school bus.

Well I just got the customer service number off Meineke's website. I am going to call and complain. I cannot believe I spent 500 bucks and got this crap. Here is the number if anyone else needs it. 704-377-8855

Let me know if anyone gets somewhere.

I just put a new set of Metal Matrix pads on my car this spring and they squeeked for the first few hundered miles, but it went away. Kinda normal for those. Just use new shims and anti-seize.

Cool

But mine have been squeaking for the past 1200 miles and I am really fed up. I just spoke with customer service at Meineke, I hope I can get a refund. From what I hear I can just get Nissan pads and everything should be ok. I hope everything works out.
