For the record my engine is NOT leaking or eating oil, i just want to make it cleaner it seems like its very gunky inside from looking at the PCV valve and into the crank case.

The far left is same as the third from left (its just newer)
Bardahl gunky engine treatment, its really thik u can see how slow it is flowing through the bottle,

The second from the left is Kleen-Flo Engine Flush, says to put into the crank case and run the engine at slow speed (slightly higher than idle ; i assume it like driving at a parking lot at 10-20 km/h) do this for 5 or so minutes then change the oil and filter.

And last is STP fuel injector cleaner, i use this stuff one tank before an oil change, because i heard it thins the oil somewhat.

here are the gunk shots :

Andrei,
from my own personal experience with my 97 max; I never had any issues with it engine wise. I just used a high mileage oil along with STP oil treatment. But if you've had no problems so far I wouldn't start losing sleep over it now, just ensure that you check your oil on a regular basis and change it at no longer than 5k mile intervals. If you get a regular oil change schedule down I'm sure you'll see a change in oil color for your internals.

I like to do the engine flush treatment once a year right before an oil change. Seems to help.
I also use Chevron Techron in the gas every 3 months to keep the injectors clean.

Most people on this site advocate taking care of their engine using Amsol and Motor RX. All that stuff is fine but in the long run the best solution is to take care of the little things that go wrong before they become big issues. Get under the car and inspect your exhaust system and brake lines every spring. Power wash under the car and your engine (if you live in an area where salt is put on the roads) believe me this really helps make a car last.

I run a bottle of Prestone Complete Fuel System Cleaner (cleans injectors, intake valves, and combustion chamber deposits) every 3-4K miles right after an oil change. It is only $8 at Autozone. It helps keep the engine clean cause I usually run 87 octane. The car runs great on it IMO, this just helps to keep it cleaner...

i guess we'll never know cause people have different opinions and its impossible to get any consensus because of that
