Yes I did make a comment on upgrading my fuel and ignition. I am going with an in-line fuel pump, and I am going with the full MSD ignition that is out for our car. It has the ability to run through each of the individual coil packs that we have on our car. I am also getting the MSD timing retard, this way I will be able to adjust my timing when using nitrous so that I am achieving optimal burn and power.

By the way, y2kse you didn't scare me off, some of us have better things to do than post on maxima.org 24/7!

Super, nvmymax2. You didn't specify whether the MSD ignition you're referring to is the Stacker ignition. Is that what you're planning on using? And are you at all concerned that the output from the ignition might overwhelm the stock coils? I ask that question because I just had my coils replaced and I can assure you they're not cheap.

You also indicated that you're planning to install an in-line fuel pump. Are you going to eliminate the stock fuel pump when you do that? If so, how are you planning to accomplish that?

Yes.

I do plan on doing everything that is necessary to regain some power that my car has lost somewhere, and I don't know where. If it takes ignition and/or fuel, "so be it".

To explain this: I ran a 15.7 at the track stock. And as some of you now know and can see below, I have a lot of money invested in trying to make my car faster. But yet somehow I ended up just losing money and becoming slower all at the same time. Right now without the nitrous the best time I can get is a 16.2! So tell me that you wouldn't be ****ed off. I am trying to figure out where I went wrong so that I can get the power back that I lost. Whether it mean I have to take everything off and sell it or add things to make things better and hope that that theory helps. Don't get me wrong with the nitrous it is much faster (14.7) but still I have to spray nitrous to go as fast as some slightly modded 5 speeds, that is ridiculous.

Anyway I didn't mean to get an argument started with anyone, just angry with my car. Later!

No worries, mate. Sorry to hear you lost performance with your mods. I don't race my car. So I live in a state of blissful ignorance as to whether it's faster now than when it was dead stock. According to my butt dyno it feels faster, especially after I added the Y-pipe. And it certainly SOUNDS faster. But I don't really know for sure. I just keep modding it because I'm not wrapped too tight. Know what I mean?

Let us know how you make out with your ignition mods. And good luck.

The 15.7 was BEFORE you added a couple hundred pounds of weight in bodykits, neon, subwoofer TRUNK, NOS bottle, etc... right? Just wondering if maybe that's where all the power went. What was your trap speeds in the 1/4? Just wondering because it can tell a lot about the "overall" performance of a vehicle.

Anyways, do you have any pictures of your mods? Sounds like a REALLY sweet ride, just wondering what it looks like.
