code 504 need help from guru's

Diagnostic Trouble Code 0504 points to a problem with the Automatic Transmission Communications line.

Where would be a good place to start - had a speed sensor fault last month with this code as well. Cleared it and now its back. Suggestions please....

I am no guru, just telling on hunch, it could be loose connection in tcu or other wires.
Remove battery, clear ECU and other electronic connections with QD cleaner & take from there. make sure VSS & TPS connections are clean and tight
