Sorry for asking this question here but I am selling my Max to get a 2002 TypeS Tl. Does anyone know if there is a group for the TL's?

Thanks,

I know I saw some people on the FreshAlloy.net forums (look for something to do with the 2002 maxima they were comparing it against) quoting some people on the Acura CL forms... so there's definately a CL forum...

Found the TL forums -- look below... for Lovesick's post about the 2002 Max being compared to it...

This is where they are:

Since my dad has a 99 TL

I have frequented the TL forums many times.......it'll make this one look like we're all experts on how to do anything mechanical to a car. Most TL guys seem really afraid to touch their car without running home to mommy (mommy = dealer in this case). It was difficult to tell who actually knew how to actually do simple things (brake jobs, bleeding brakes, etc.) that are part of a normal maintenance routine. But once you find those members, then researching based on their posts makes life a bit easier.

I thought this site had a bunch of pansies (myself included) until I visited there....we've got nothing to worry about in terms of actual car knowledge.....

But I guess that comes with the territory.....if you ante up $8k more for a car, you'll probably be less willing to "invade" it....

Thanks for all the info

After having moded my Maxima and having dealt with all the little problems that go along with the fun I have decided to never mod my car ever again This 99 Maxima was the second Maxima that I have owned and they are truely great cars, its just time for a different car

Thanks again for all the information.

Re: Thanks for all the info

Aj,

I know how you feel. I love my 87 Max and will keep it
till the wheels fall off but I also love my Acura Type-S
as well. Car is very smooth and lots of power. I don't
think the new max would of made any difference with me.
I would of still got the Type-S. Good luck..
