Does anyone know how to change the Power seat motor

Ok so my damn Motor in my driver side seat is dead. I can hear it clicking when i try to move the whole seat forward and backwards. So i'm gonna trying to find a new motor at a junk yard but has anyone ever had to do this. and how hard is it.

Thanks

I've never done it but I have seen the motor close up and it looks pretty straight forward. I think the best route to go would be to swap out the whole mounting bracket.

It'll probably be easier to just replace the seat, you could probably have an upholstery shop swap the covers for you. Most salvage yards don't want to part out just the motor, and I'm assuming that the motor new is a fortune.

are you sure the motor is completely dead because my pass side forward & back and my drivers up & down froze on me one time. i thought they were dead but a lil coaxing got them free.

Before replacing the motor, check the rails first and clean them out. The clicking makes it sound like your seat motors are trying to do the work but are blocked by something.

Just download the free Nissan service manual at this web site. You''ll need to download a free Winrar first.
