I've got to rebuild my transmission. What I need help on is I want to put a shift kit and a little higher stall convertor in and need some ideas on what to get.

You can search for All Transmission Parts in Portland or Transmission Exchange co at txchange.com. They will have a rebuild kit.

 

My trans is slipping when it goes into 3rd gear. I figured while I'm rebuilding it I should do some mods to it while its out

I had a Taurus SHO auto tranny rebuilt and a TransGo Shift kit installed and the valve body modified. The TransGo kit came with different springs for desired shift firmness. I would first find a good tranny shop (AAA can recommend one) and talk with the shop and tell you what you want. I had my tranny setup for firm shifts, normal driving was very close to stock but full throttle were tire chirping shifts.
