auto dimming mirror - not auto anymore!

my rear view mirror is constantly dim now, i always have to press the off button otherwise all i can see is a green reflection of myself. it has happened in the past, but somehow corrected itself. now its doing it again and its so annoying! any fixes besides hitting the off button all the time?

thanks

Did you tint the car?? After I put limo tint on my car the mirror never tinted itself again... maybe it's something like that?

Well, I got rid of mine, my car was in a crash and the mirror got messed up and instead of paying $650 for a friggin mirror I went to Wal-Mart and bought a cheap little mirror, I think I would rather lift my arm to lift then pay $650 to do it for me...LOL

just my $.02
