You are going to have to buy a new blower motor. The bearings are probably messed up! From the dealership with my friends discount I can get one for about $125 I still haven't gotten mine yet. You can look for used ones at junkyards, do an internet search and hope for the best!!!

Don't spend your money on a new blower, yet... Get yourself 2 long wires and hook up the terminals on the blower directly to the battery to test it, first. I thought my blower was going out, but it was only the grounding resistor (power module if you have auto climate control). FYI, the dealer here wanted $85 for the power module!

Well the blower in my car is messed up and when it turns on you can hear a noise from the broken bearings so I'm f'd but i have to get the whole blower motor not the power module

Here's some pics:

If you blower's making noise, then you'll definitely need to replace it (or at least open it up). Heh, after removing the glove box, I found out that I can get to the power module WITHOUT removing the glove box... Go figure.

You may want to try to pick one up for a 4th gen... They're pretty much the same and all you need to do is keep the small air hose from the 5th gen blower. There's a thread about this somewhere... Good luck!

That would be the blower motor resistor. Basiclly the only mode the motor doesn't get its power from the resistor is in 4. Its getting full 12v at that point...you may still need a motor but the resistor is the reason it works in one position. You can purchase a resistor and just unplug the old one and plug it in the new resistor, better to make sure the motor works properly before installing it.

Wow this thread has all sorts of wrong information.

For the noisy blower that sounds like "bearings" there is a TSB fix for it. $12 part.
